Local Management is one of the trust offices licensed and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) under the Wtt 2018. The authoritative, current list of licensed trust offices is maintained in DNB’s public register, and you should use that register to verify any provider.
Where to Check
DNB publishes the Register of trust offices on its website. It is free to search and updated by DNB, so it is more reliable than any provider’s own statement.
How to Check a Provider
- Open the register and search for the provider’s legal name.
- Confirm that the legal entity you will contract with is listed, not just a brand name or a related company.
- Check that the licence is current.
- Ask the provider to confirm which of its entities delivers your services.
Why It Matters
Providing trust services professionally or commercially without a licence is prohibited, and DNB can impose fines and orders. Using a licensed firm means your provider is supervised and must carry out due diligence. See What is the Wtt 2018? and What to look for when choosing a provider.
