After obtaining his master’s degree in Tax Law at the University of Maastricht, Roel has started working as a tax advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001.

After PricewaterhouseCoopers, Roel joined Citco Amsterdam in 2005, where, after two years, he became Head of the Private Clients.

In 2011, he has joined LOCAL, expanding his extensive experience in establishing and managing international corporate and private structures, for both corporations and high net-worth individuals. Being an expert on setting up and managing investment structures and (charitable) foundations, Roel acts as the managing director of most of LOCAL’s foundation client entities.

Being a native Dutch speaker, Roel is fluent in English and has a professional proficiency in German.

In his time of leisure, Roel enjoys wine tastings and every year, he travels to various places in Italy to discover local wineries.
